Lenteland regenerative ownership model
Stichting Climate Cleanup · NL
Lenteland's cooperative ownership model anchors farmland in community stewardship and legally prevents speculation, enabling long-term regenerative farming that restores soil health, biodiversity and local ecosystems. Farmers receive a basic income and fair profit-sharing, easing economic pressure and strengthening local food security, while citizens invest directly. Lenteland has established 7 regenerative farms with strong yields on minimal inputs and over 200 shareholders; the model is revolving and largely budget-neutral to scale, well aligned with the EU Farm to Fork and Biodiversity strategies, and ripe for replication.
