Agrodome – A regional circular and national building hub
Province of Gelderland · NL
Agrodome — a knowledge-centre foundation plus a consultancy — has, since its 2008 display project of four timber-frame houses built largely from renewable resources, worked to stimulate biobased and circular building materials, shape legislation, connect market parties and disseminate knowledge through a regional, national and EU network. It convened a Green Deal with 40 stakeholders toward a circular biobased building sector, co-founded the first Dutch branch association of biobased manufacturers (2025), and represents natureplus. Current work includes the CASCO Carbon Sink Construction project (2024-2027) and a biobased-policy peer review for the province of Zeeland. A model for setting up a regional hub to drive the transition to natural, circular building materials.
